DESCRIPTION:Integrating phonemic awareness\, handwriting\, phonics\, spelling\, and vocabulary \nRegistration is OPEN.\nEl Paso\, Texas \nWorkshop Summary \nAlice Nine will show you how to integrate the following during Word Study lessons\, without worksheets:\n \nphonemic awareness with sounds and syllables — \nsystematic\, explicit phonics —\nhandwriting instruction — \nspelling practice —\nword grammar — \nand how-to sound out words for both reading and writing \nAligns with new ELAR TEKS\n \nDaily Word Study with content (phonograms and words) and routines of JCSpell provide ongoing opportunities to address\nStrand 1– The student develops word structure knowledge through phonological awareness\, print concepts\, phonics\, and morphology to communicate\, decode\, and spell (encode) during the daily JCSpell lesson routines\, i\,e.\, Think to Spell\, Word Talk. The student uses newly acquired vocabulary expressively through oral and written sentences during Word Talk.\nStrand 6 — The student composes legible texts during I-Work.
