Steve is biliterate, proficient in Spanish and English As an educator, his experiences range from teaching both languages, to providing staff development for English-speaking teachers and Spanish-speaking teachers, to writing curriculum for Spanish speakers learning English. Personally, Spanish and English are equally home languages of his family. Steve and his wife, Jacky, and their three children reside in Portoviejo, Ecuador.
