It is a peaceful quiet Sunday morning.
Breakfast in our warm kitchen: A bowl of steel cut oatmeal with a bit of heavy cream and brown sugar. A crunchy heel of rustic bread, toasted almost to the burn stage, lightly spread with strawberry habanero jam. And a cup of steamy coffee, the aroma of which reminds me of my mother and childhood Sunday mornings.
I’m feeding my soul and strengthening my heart with God’s words–those His Holy Spirit brings to mind and those I am reading.
May our homes be filled with love, peace, and joy today. Let your faith arise and cast out vain imaginations, breaking all tentacles of fear.
