2017 Slice of Life Story Challenge
Hope you arrived safe and sound back home after all your wandering. Rest up , but don’t forget to write!
Thank you, Diane. We were delayed and rerouted due to engine problems, for a very long trip.
What a great way to capture your journey home!
🙂
I am so glad you shared your trip with up, both the planned as well as the unexpected activities. Glad you are safely home.
Thx… I’m looking forward to reading about yours in a few weeks. 🙂
I love the details you chose! The dichotomy of the blissful vacation contrasted with the travel part are really striking. I felt like I was with you. Welcome home!
🙂 Thank you, Lorie!
Lovely! Despite the long flights home I could feel your relaxation!
Ah, Rose, when I wrote it was relaxing… then we had the flight with engine problems and everything changed.
Beautiful scenery! Exhausting-sounding trip home. I hope you get some rest! ~JudyK
It got even more exhausting when one our flights was interrupted with engine problems… We had to change all plans. We are home now and will go to the airport later today to retrieve our checked bags.
Your writing makes me long for a trip some where warm – but then your words remind me of the long hassle of flights…
Thanks for the quick escape though your writing.
You are so welcome. I’m glad you came along for some of it. 🙂
I like the structure of the poem. It breaks up the trip, just like the different stages of your travel. Nice job!
Thank you, Carol! 🙂
