Poetry Friday : July 8, 2016.
In
a crowd
yet alone
touched by many
loved by none
he called out.
I saw
Hope.
Moved
with compassion
a man
reached out
his hand
touched him.
I saw
Love.
With
body bent
in broken
desperation
she touched
his garment.
I saw
Faith.
Sensing
her touch
he spoke–
Your faith
has made you
whole.
I saw
Jesus.

A huge thanks to Logonauts for hosting Poetry Friday this week!
Even the placement on the page (screen) shows the cohesion within the brokenness of humanities’ needs. Thanks for sharing, Alice. =)
Thank you, Bridget! Your words are so well chosen: “cohesion within the brokenness of humanities’ needs.”
Hope, faith and love are much needed in these times. Also important: calling out, reaching out, and touching others with our actions, if not our two hands.
Many thanks for commenting … and the greatest is love. Love never fails. It is the soil for faith which is the substance of things hoped for.
lovely and faith support for those of us that are weary. Thank you.
Yes, Linda… I’ve been thinking of Psalm 27 this week: “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Thanks for this! Ruth, thereisnosuchthingasagodforsakentown.blogspot.com
You are welcome, Ruth. In this hour, we need hope, faith, and most of all love.
That touch described through showing different people is a lovely idea. So few words, but powerful.
Thank you for taking time to notice, Linda.
