Daily Word Study with content (phonograms and words) and routines of JCSpell provide ongoing opportunities to address
Strand 1– The student develops word structure knowledge through phonological awareness, print concepts, phonics, and morphology to communicate, decode, and spell (encode) during the daily JCSpell lesson routines, i,e., Think to Spell, Word Talk. The student uses newly acquired vocabulary expressively through oral and written sentences during Word Talk.
Strand 6 — The student composes legible texts during I-Work. The student composes sentences and uses appropriate conventions during I-Work.

Who should enroll?

Teachers and parents working with students in grades K-3. Recommended for anyone working with struggling readers. Especially great for ELLs.  Alice Nine recommends this training for core instruction; however, it can be used in Tier 2 intervention, especially at intermediate and secondary level.
