Slice of Life March Challenge. No. 13.

From personal travel journal

It’s 5 AM and I’ve said Good Morning and Thank You to no less than a dozen people between my hotel room and my departure gate at the airport — all people who in some way served me. Never before have I thought specifically about how many people, often strangers, it takes for me to move through life. Have you?

I find that to be a humbling thought —
— one that calls upon me to be thankful in all my dealings
— one that causes me to resolve to take time to express thanks
— one that spurs me to reach out consciously, to offer help, to be willing to serve others
— one that challenges me to teach children to be thankful

Feeling gratitude isn’t born in us – it’s something we are taught,
and in turn, we teach our children.   —Joyce Brothers

Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  — Ephesians 5:20
