Slice of Life March Challenge. No. 26. Sunday.

I saw a quote somewhere and it made me stop and think: Life in abundance comes through great love.

Great love.
Is love great because of size?
Or because of its significance?
Is it great because of its object?
I think that love is great because love can be nothing less than great. It is great because, in Elizabeth Barret Browning’s words,  “Whoso loves, believes the impossible.” In the greatest discourse on love we read that there are three things that abide — faith, hope, and love — and the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Life in abundance.
Through my gifting of love, abundance flows into my life.

Lovingly, I care for my violets, and they profusely bloom.
Cordially, I smile and offer thanks, and service personnel generously assist me.
Compassionately, I give to the needy, and my needs seem less than before.
Willingly, I share ideas and skills with colleagues, and they, in return, teach me.
Without hesitation, I hug my grandkids, and I’m smothered with their hugs.
Trustingly, I link hands with my husband, and we two are one.
As I empty my cup, it overflows.

Through God’s gifting of great love, abundance fills my life, a promise for eternity.

God’s great love is redeeming love.
His love compelled Him to give to me.
I received His love through Jesus.
My life is abundant.

For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but
have everlasting life.

John 3:16 NKJV

Jesus said,
I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 NKJV
