March Slice of Life No. 3.

Early Sunday Morning

Early Sunday morning . . .

Sounds like a distant train whistle floating over the hush of my world at rest.

Smells like the darkness of coffee in my favorite mug, warming my hands

Tastes like crisp bacon and a slice rustic bread toasted to a crunch spread with peach-pepper jelly.

Looks like twilight between a night ending and a day beginning.

Feels like all is at peace in my heart and home.

A thought for today…

Has anyone ever told you “Just breathe”?
Well, that’s really good advice.
Just think of it for a moment. Breathing is inhaling and exhaling. You must inhale to live, but you must also exhale to live. Inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. Together the a key to life.

To live, we must inhale goodness, kindness, grace, peace, joy. To live, we must exhale bitterness, hatred, rage, hurt, fear.

Inhale thoughts and words of life; exhale thoughts and words of death.

[W]hatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7
